Six rooms, from the Hedgehog to the Gift box

· The Turbo Pudding team · 3 min read

The Gift box room at night, on a deep indigo sky with small stars and soft dark clouds: Tirra, a round orange fledgling with a spiky orange crest, stands on a long ledge of purple blocks, the lid of the box, facing right; Lee, a round lilac fledgling with a curly purple crest, sleepy half-closed eyes and a long curled tail, faces left with a clear bubble right at the beak, and inside the bubble floats a Skimmer, a small blue-gray pond skater with big eyes and thin legs; a column of purple blocks drops down from the lid, short purple ledges of the bow hang above, and a piece of another critter peeks in at the bottom left edge

Tirralee is a climb. A storm has blown two fledglings, Tirra and Lee, down to the roots of the Skyward Tree, and home is fifty rooms up. Every room is a picture of something, and its name appears in big white letters as it opens.

At the top is the Gift box, the fourth room of level 10. Tirra and Lee stand on its lid, under the knot of the bow, and Lee has just caught a Skimmer. Skimmers are pond skaters and the quickest walkers in the Tree.

Hedgehog, in the woods

The fourth room of level 3 is a Hedgehog: a round back of blocks with short spines on top and a hollow inside. A Stompling, a little root with a sprout, has walked right up behind Tirra. Stomplings turn around at walls, and at the edge of a ledge they turn back more often than not.

Inside the Hedgehog room in the woods, on a pale yellow-green background: Tirra, a round orange fledgling with a spiky orange crest and an orange beak, stands on a long floor of brown blocks topped with grass, facing right toward Lee, a round lilac fledgling with a curly purple crest, sleepy half-closed eyes and a long curled tail, who faces back from the right; right behind Tirra walks a Stompling, a little brown root with two green leaves on top and a small gray scribble of a cloud over its head, and further left a red berry with a green leaf lies on the floor; above them runs a grassy ledge, a column of brown blocks comes down at the upper right, and dark green tree shapes rise below the floor
Searched “hedgehog game.” Found one you can stand inside.

Frog, in the rain

Level 5 is where the rain begins, and its second room is a Frog with two square stone eyes. Tirra has just caught a Stompling. On the left waits a Burrnut, a chestnut in a spiky case, and it gives itself away: before it throws, it stops still for a moment to aim.

The Frog room in the rain, on a pale blue background with thin rain streaks and white clouds: Tirra, the round orange fledgling with a spiky crest, stands on a ledge of gray stone blocks with mint-green tops, facing right toward a peach-rimmed bubble with a Stompling, a little brown root with a green sprout, curled up inside; Lee, the round lilac fledgling with a curly crest and a long curled tail, stands on the other side of the bubble, facing it; on a separate ledge at the left sits a Burrnut, a chestnut with big eyes peeking out of a spiky green case, under a gray scribble of a cloud, and up on the higher ledge, next to a square block of gray stones that is one of the frog’s eyes, stands another Stompling with its own gray cloud
People also ask: do frogs like rain? This one is made of stone.

Kite, in the clouds

In the clouds of level 7, the Kite is a diamond of cloud ledges. Tirra and Lee have climbed almost to the top, but critters don’t like being left below. When a fledgling stands higher and there’s a ledge overhead, a Stompling, a Burrnut or a Coneroll will now and then hop straight up to it.

The Kite room in the clouds, on a soft pink background with big white clouds: Tirra, the round orange fledgling with a spiky crest, and Lee, the round lilac fledgling with a curly crest and a long curled tail, stand facing each other on a ledge of white cloud blocks near the top of the room, with a red berry with a green leaf on the ledge behind Lee and a short two-block ledge above them; below, a Coneroll, a round brown pinecone with peeking eyes and a green sprout, is in midair under a gray scribble of a cloud, and a Stompling, a little brown root with two green leaves, walks on the wider cloud ledge at the bottom with its own gray cloud over its head; lilac blocks of the ceiling run along the top edge
Typed “cloud platformer.” The kite doubles as a staircase.

Carousel, in the clouds

Three rooms later comes the Carousel, with a canopy of ledges, four hanging pillars and a long base. Tirra has caught a Coneroll, a pinecone that charges. When a fledgling is ahead of it on its level, a Coneroll can dash at almost three times its walking speed, and while it dashes, it won’t turn back at the edge of a ledge.

The Carousel room in the clouds, on a pale pink background: three tall pillars of pale lilac blocks hang down from the top of the picture over a long ledge of white cloud blocks; on the ledge, from left to right, are a grumpy Coneroll, a round brown pinecone with big eyes and a green sprout, under a gray scribble of a cloud, then Tirra, the round orange fledgling with a spiky crest, facing right, then a peach-rimmed bubble with another Coneroll curled up inside, and at the right Lee, the round lilac fledgling with a curly crest and a long curled tail, facing the bubble
Search history: “carousel game,” then “why is the pinecone grumpy.”

Clock tower, at night

After level 8, as the climb heads into the night, Tirra has one piece of advice: “Don’t look down. Hold on to me.” The Clock tower is the second room of level 10. Tirra has caught a Burrnut at the very end of a ledge, Lee is in midair, and a Jellydrop, a rain jellyfish, drifts in under the moon.

The Clock tower room at night, on a deep indigo sky with small stars and a big pale yellow crescent moon at the upper right: Tirra, the round orange fledgling with a spiky crest, stands at the very end of a ledge of purple blocks on the left, facing left, with a fresh bubble at Tirra’s beak holding a Burrnut, a chestnut in a spiky green case; Lee, the round lilac fledgling with a curly crest, sleepy eyes and a long curled tail, is in midair to the lower right, facing left; in the bottom right corner, a Jellydrop, a pale blue jellyfish with pink wavy tentacles and a gray scribble of a cloud over its head, floats at the edge of a purple ledge, and more purple ledges stack up on the left
Search: “night level platformer.” Bring a bubble and a moon.
