The story

A story adventure about a clockmaker’s granddaughter in 1927, a little robot from 2427, and the hour that broke between them.

Glimmerau, 21 December 1927. Tonight is the Great Winding, which comes once every five hundred years, and the whole town is out in the snow for it. Mira waits in her grandfather’s workshop and winds his regulator at a quarter to twelve. Then every clock in town stops at 11:47.

The snow hangs in the air. The tram has stopped halfway round the bend. The pigeons forgot to come down. In the whole frozen town only one thing keeps ticking: Tik, the little robot from Grandpa’s workbench. And Grandpa is nowhere to be found.

Mira and Tik set off across the frozen town to find him. Their friendship will have to stretch across five hundred years, because what broke tonight reaches all the way to 2427.
