Chapter 1 of Dilly Delivers, Pudding Town, is free, and it lasts four days. Each day has its own name, its own weather and its own five parcels. It’s Saturday, so here is one screenshot from every day of Dilly’s first week on the job, plus two thank-yous at the door.
The picture at the top is from day 4, Big Biscuit. The light is green, the cars are waiting, and Dilly is halfway across a wide road with a tiny microphone for Lulu the frog.
Day 1: First Rounds
Sun, a pink morning sky and a nervous new courier. Granny Plume explains the deal: the long way through the park is easy but slow, the short way through town is quicker, “but watch out for cars, puddles and the yard dogs.” Dilly sums it up in one line: “Puddles: jump. Cars: wait for a gap. Dogs: run! Got it!”

Her first parcel is a packet of flower seeds for Clover the bunny, taken the short way, over a zebra crossing.
Day 2: Grumpy Street
Clouds today, and Granny Plume has a warning: “Mr. Guard down on Maple Street is in a grumpy mood.” Dilly’s answer: “Then I’ll be extra quick on Maple Street!” Here she is on the way to Fennel the fox with a box of fragile paint tubes, and Mr. Guard has just spotted her.

Day 3: Puddle Parade
“Rain all day, I’m afraid. Puddles everywhere,” says Granny Plume. Dilly is delighted: “Rain? I’m a DUCK, Granny Plume!” The sky turns blue-gray, the puddles grow, and the Town way still has a road to cross. This parcel is a watering can for Clover, who got her flower seeds on day 1. “My seeds from last week are SO thirsty,” she says.

The long way is the Park way: sandy paths, fruit trees and a lot fewer cars. Taken that way, a heavy sack of flour reaches Hazel the hedgehog, who greets it with hearts: “A whole sack, not a puff spilled! Muffins for the whole street!”

Day 4: Big Biscuit
Back to sunshine, and to big news: “Biscuit — the mayor’s dog — slipped his lead again.” Granny Plume says he’s a sweetie who just loves parcels, “especially cake-shaped ones.” Dilly’s plan: “Then today I’m a cake-shaped rocket!”
Before the cake, there are other parcels. The tiny microphone from the picture at the top arrives safely, and Lulu is thrilled: “A microphone! Now the whole pond can hear me sing! Ribbit-la-la!”

How the day ends belongs to Biscuit, and to a letter nobody expected. Play Pudding Town for free at dillydelivers.com, and if you want more ways through town, the three-star guide is a good next stop.
